- Surface Hardened, Yield Strength 75,000 psi, Surface Yield Strength 250,000 psi. For use with linear bearings, slides, and other precision applications. All are precision ground for tight diameter and straightness tolerances. Shafts are surface hardened which provides increased wear resistance. Steel shafts are stronger than stainless steel but are less corrosion resistant.
