Epaphras: The Appointment makes up the second of four novels in the Epaphras Series. These books tell about a modern American Christian who happens to be burdened with the odd name of an ancient Colossian disciple of the apostle Paul. Our fictional Epaphras who was born in America in 1974 becomes, like his namesake, a strong believer and follower of Jesus Christ. We learn about his work as founder and leader of a church Men's Group, and of his own personal challenges in walking with the Lord. That sounds tediously boring, I know, but not to worry; The book centers around a love story/ murder mystery!The first book in the series is Epaphras: The Interview and it should be read first even though Epaphras: The Appointment is a prequel. While it tells stories from earlier times in the lives of Epaphras and other major characters, The Appointment will prove to be much more enjoyable for the reader who is fully aware of the previously revealed effects (in "The Interview") which follow the causes being currently unveiled (in "The Appointment").
