Rhododendron miyama `gold prinz` gold prinz' is the new royalty of the few true yellow Rhododendrons out there. Rose pink buds open to wavy, golden-yellow flowers which open wide to show off the impressive burgundy markings that adorn the upper petal. This variety has a thick, dark green foliage on a dwarf plant. Growth is wide but dense. Grow tipsthrives in partial shade. Feed yearly with an organic fertilizer. Prune to shape immediately after bloom is finished. Prune back branches to just above a leaf.
